Sugar Whispers was founded by Carlos.  Carlos is Victor's son.  Victor, a retired truck driver met Irma by chance during a vacation in Mexico.  Their love was instant, proving that true love knows no borders, age, or time constraints. After a year of courtship and planning, Victor and Irma were married on February 13th, 2023.  Sugar Whispers is a testament to their love and shared passion for exquisite confections.

 

The root of the story began years ago when Irma attended grade school in Saltillo, Mexico.  While attending a home economics class, she learned traditional nut confectionary pastry recipes unique to this region in Mexico. ​

Irma Started her craft in 1972.  In 1985 she formed her business in Mexico.  Here, in Indianapolis, IN, 2023, as a retired nurse, she is starting her second baking career.

 

​​Irma has three children: Lorena (Emmanuel), Mario, and Arturo, and three grandchildren as well: Daniel, Angela, and Juaquin.  Victor has two sons: Jr & Carlos (Kris).
